About Ann Hamilton
Dedicated to the growth of educational opportunities in southwest Florida, Ann Hamilton draws on several decades of experience in the development of Florida Gulf Coast University. She served on the university's board of trustees from 2009 through 2015, during which time she also led as chair of the Student and Academic Affairs Committee. In this role, Ann Hamilton represented the committee in annual presentations before university administration and faculty.
In collaboration with her family, Ann Hamilton underwrites The William Thomas Howard Annual Business Seminar, an event that bears her father's name. The family has supported this event for 20 years and continues to facilitate the presence of nationally prominent business leaders, including 2016 speaker Steve Forbes of Forbes Media.
Ann Hamilton comes to her advocacy with a strong background in development. She stands out as the former executive director of the foundation for the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, in which role she led a fundraising campaign that allowed for the hall's expansion and renovation.
